GONADS/DoubleDown--BackBlast.8/18/11--Hellish Hills

Aye, we planted a virtual flag at Carmel Road Park and the BRR Faithful-in-Training gathered for the Thursday evening DoubleDown:

OBT (QIC)
Red Warrior
Dark Warrior
Sleepy
and ... The Colonel (BHWTU)

The Thang:
The route combined two of the most BRR-like stretches of hill you can find inside the CLT city limits: the run up Sharon View to the Mountain Brook neighborhood and the rollercoaster ride through that neighborhood down to Carmel, plus the long descent down Sharon View from Carmel to Olde Providence, returning back up that same hill to the finish. The Garmin had us at 6.62 miles in 54:14 (8:11 pace).

Spreadsheets from the Gloom:

_ 3x claps to RW, The Col. and YHC for hitting this in addition to the early AM SweetSix. That's almost 13 miles of hard road, brothers.
_ Nice to also get Sleepy out there, not to mention the frighteningly skinny looking Dark Warrior.
_ The run began and ended at Carmel Road Park for the personal convenience of YHC, as that is where 2.0's Pop Warner team was practicing. The Faithful got to cool down while watching 2.0 smoke the rest of his line in wind sprints -- go 2.0!
_ I'll plan to hit this same route the next two Thursday nights (8/25 and 9/1) as we step it up for the BRR.
