Aye, RoboCop planted the ShovelFlag (but, strangely, wasn't there for the RingRun) and the Faithful gathered in the Gloom for the final "late start" running of the RingRun.

The Thang:
The 4.5-mile Tranquil Loop. I'm told the leaders kept it right around or just under the Fellowship Pace Mendoza Line of 8:30, but I'll have to take their word on it; MMOB and YHC were loafing along way back in the peleton.
Spreadsheets from the Gloom:
_ Rumor had it that Dark Warrior and RoboCop were also on the roads early but peeled off to Freedom Park to plan this Saturday's mayhem. And some of the Faithful spotted Purple Crayon riding his bike along the backside of the Booty Loop.
_ Overwhelmed by enthusiasm after having finally screened "Caddyshack" last month and under pressure to name FNG Carl Cooke after he posted for the second straight week, YHC gave him ... Spackler. Take that, Crotch Rocket!
_ MMOB was on fire this morning, following another Government-TV televised hearing of his City Council Subcommittee on Sustainable Re-Engineering of the Human-Inhabited Environment. Among the news that should gladden the heart of Mary Newsom comes the nugget that we may be headed for a bike exchange program in Charlotte similar to those already in operation in Washington DC, San Francisco and other locations. If you thought Dredd's broken-derailleur Diamondback or Crotch Rocket's rusty '92 vintage mountain bike was clunky, wait'll you see these babies. Thank God MMOB's around to keep the Observer commenters foaming at the mouth.
_ The Bevrisket/Undercover Long Run crew of Nino, MacDeuce and RW rolled in just in time for the CoT (apparently Angrus peeled off before returning to the church lot), with Nino and MacDeuce in matching teal-blue Nike shirts. I think Nino's planning to buy one for Affirmation too, so the Smokeboot Trio can look really cool when they hit the bar at MPCC together on Friday nights ... If you guys can give me a couple days I can get them printed with an F³ logo too ... just $42.35, with the OBT markup.
_ Kotter to ... Zoot! Gearin' up for the GOAT, men.
