Moleskine:

- We began the Gauntlet slow and easy by getting back to the early days of SpartanX. No one got wet. No one was hurt. No TBQ. It was a good day to get things warmed-up for the trials to come.
- If you ain't first, you're last...MMOB was well fueled on chia seed and running with perfect form when he dropped the hammer on the dash. That half step might as well have been a mile. Thank you, Brother.
- Banty rooster...Holtz, he was not; this man was quiet, cool and strong. If he keeps posting we may have to raise the bar.
- Blackjack...3Claps to FNG/Gauntlet Hawk and a new (non-2.0) low FNG/War Baby Jake Tunney. That's right gentlemen...he is currently D1 on loan from Loyola and the next closest in age was Rock at 15 years his senior. I want to say something to give the kid credit for grit or heart or toughness or something, however he probably showed up half cocked on about 2 hrs sleep and just needed an excuse to sweat out the Selwyn night before.
- Boy Marlo...it is noteworthy that when the War Baby was giving me his recap of the morning back at the office, he referenced 'that other young guy who was fast'. Gris, although surprising after that clean shave, he wasn't talking about you.
- Willow bark...here's to the quick return of Dark Warrior, Silence and Dredd from the DL.
