The Thang:
4.5 miles through Eastover and Myers Park in 38:51 (8:38/mile split).
Spreadsheets From The Gloom:
_ Dogs: One (Fenway)
_ Shirtless Men: Two (Six Mike and Tango Delta). With the temperature already 80 degrees at the start, even YHC acknowledged this would have been the day to ignore his own personal ban on shirtless running.
_ Kotter: Uptown Fred. Also to Six Mike and Waco, who returned to the fold after being out of town for vacation.
_ FNGs: K-Slide (Brad Muller) and Tango Delta made their RingRun debuts, as did 74, who says he's working his way back into running shape. Little known fact about 74: Back in his high school days he was wicked fast. Used to give Jim Ryun a run for his money back in the glory days of the American miler. Then, like so many of us, he got fat and slow. Now, though, watch out -- 74 is paving a highway all the way from Murphy to Speedville, baby. The Rock followed his Brisket debut with a modified RingRun -- 3x claps to Rock for getting to the bottom third of his lungs on a brutal day for running.
_ I'm out the next two Tuesdays -- in my absence, Black Bird will be QIC for the RingRun, while the Warrior Twins are the men to see for your Brisketing needs.
