GONADS/SweetSix--5-5-11.Workout Jams

POSTED by OBT:

I think we set a new SweetSix (DulceSeis for today, in honor of Cinco de Mayo) record with 15 folks posting.  Unlike two weeks ago, no one ended up on the DL or huddled in gas station bathroom stalls either.  Everybody wins!

The Thing:
The MMOB City Loop, 6.4 miles

Nino, MMOB and Affirmation led the pack, followed by PBo, Raul and RedWarrior.  They were in between 45 and 46 minutes.

The chase pack was OBT, TD, Girardi, SixMike, Holtz and DW.  We were in between 49 and 50.

Hitman and Mizer were a couple minutes further back.

Spreadsheets From The Gloom:
_ MMOB rocked some wicked-looking flowered jams that looked like they were manufactured around the same time as his Lexus.  He said he'd reached the bottom of the drawer of workout clothes, but there was obviously no effect on speed.
_ 3xclaps to SweetSix FNGs Raul (in training for the Death Race: www.youmaydie.com), Girardi and Holtz, who had no troubles running with the pack.
_ Thanks to Pomfret for shouting us out, particularly his note that in bringing us together, the Lord makes us stronger.  In none of our workouts is this more apparent than on the SweetSix, where running the same route each week and the pure speed nature of the distance and the workout casts into clear relief the way in which the group effort -- and the desire to keep up with the group -- makes all of us faster and better.
